This series goes over basic questions about colored contacts. In this post, we’ll look at colored contacts for astigmatism or toric colored contacts.
Toric Contact Lenses
If you have an astigmatism, your eye is curved irregularly causing blurred vision. Contact lenses such as Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism and AIR OPTIX for Astigmastim are designed to correct this condition, however, what if you want colored lenses?
A variety of colored lenses for astigmatism used to be available under the Durasoft brand. However, Ciba Vision discontinued these lenses, limiting your lens choice to only one disposable toric colored contacts brand: Freshlook Colorblends Toric.
Freshlook Colorblends Toric
Uses the same 3-in-1 technology–a blend of three colors into one–as regular Freshlook Colorblends. The result is subtle, natural color for beautiful eyes. Available in blue, honey, green and gray.

Some wearer feedback about these lenses:
I would like to see more color options for toric contacts, but overall not bad.
The blue looks pretty good, the green just changes my eyes to a hint of green, and the gray make me look like a cyborg. Never tried the orange (sounds weird). Wish there was more choices, but can’t complain since this is the only company I have found that offers color contacts in toric.
